St.Joan/Greta

St.Joan/Greta is an original adaptation that interweaves the narrative of Joan of Arc with the words and legacy of Greta Thunberg for a young ensemble to perform to an adult audience. This project was conceived in 2020 when an area the size of the country Portugal was devastated by bushfires in Australia.

This theatre work is an intergenerational challenge to continuing fossil fuel consumption within capitalism, and provides a theatre practice for young artists to explore speaking truth to power, climate leadership and historical frames.
